Given some of the other reviews I decided it wise to get a set of two (2) of these plastic fin straighteners.These consist of several parts. First is a resin screwdriver handle with a threaded shaft, onto which the nylon-ish multi-sized fin assembly fits. One of the two had the couple of far too small diameter washers neatly threaded beneath the cute little acorn nut, while the other had the nut loose in the packaging and the larger of the two teeny tiny washers with a bite out of it from whatever pot metal machinery was used to cobble these together (condolences to the worker who may've lost part of a finger failing to line things up before mashing that button to stamp it).My dad left me beaucoup assortments of bolts and washers and whatnot, so I added a thin washer just short of meeting the nylon fin piece's diameter. Unclear and unwise that the manufacturer had a far too small washer that would inevitably slip-and-slide while doing what the tool is intended to do.That said, note that the cap of Loctite brand thread locker (blue or red) is an exact match for the threads, so if you like as I did you can spoo some of that goo into the Loctite cap and neatly thread it onto the threaded shaft to help ensure a snug, lasting fit.As far as actually USING the product, I'll update once I get the chance, that remains to be determined. I am not confident that the nylon fins will hold up to the debris-laden AC condenser in my car's front grille without taking a serious beating.
