I have an elderly cat that has quit grooming herself. Areas of her fur are becoming matted. She is not a long-haired cat so I didn't think it would be difficult to get the mats out - but it is. The comb works fine on the top layer of fur but does not get deep enough to untangle the mats.I like the different comb heads that come with this brush. The bristles are also super easy to clean and it de-sheds very well. The handle feels light and cheap but is solid enough for the job. I gave it a 4 because it is not perfect but works very well. I have a lab mix and he loves it very much.My cat has dandruff so I figured she's maybe a little itchy although she seems pretty happy and content. She loves it when I brush her and it seems to get a lot of the dandruff but not all of it. I can see it when I clean the comb and it's very easy to clean. One pull and it all comes out so you can nearly dispose of it. It comes with 2 different size combs and very easy to change them out.After looking at 20 of these eqi grooming tools, I landed on this one.The handle is perfect. The right size, comes with 3 different size grooming combs, that are easy to put in and take out.After bathing my dog and using Paul Mitchell's lavender detangling mist. The job of deshedding my dog was easy.The comb works and does the job, just as it's designed to do.I chose white, and also purchased the mist.Great valve, great products.Win Win!You won't be disappointed. ??Super easy to use.
